No Training Wheels!

So, I took the training wheels off Brooklyn's bike back in the spring when it was good riding weather and I failed her, at teaching her how to ride a bike! My countless hours of holding on to the back of her seat as we went up and down the street back and forth back and forth day after beautiful day...

The jogger who seemed to circle my block over and over, admitted that I was getting more exercise then he was. And every day it would end in tears. Hers not mine.

Finally I decided to look on the Internet for some help!! I came across a YouTube Video that suggested lowering the seat so her feet are flat on the ground...

And taking off her pedals so they aren't in the way, just like this!

So I followed the YouTube idea, She walked her bike to the end of our road. (it has a slight hill) and then she walked her self down until she was coasting and within min. she had figured out how to balance. I let her practice doing that for at least 30 min. then I talked her into putting the pedals back on and even amongst all her whining, about not wanting the pedals back on...She did it!

Hear she is learning to Balance!

Hear she is riding! In this video I gave her a push, but she quickly learned how to get started on her own!! It's great. caution, turn the volume down, while watching, it's better in silent.

The porch looked like great fun! It's great that family can help each other out. Awesome "Bike rider!" Way to go!! You are a good teacher.

Yeah Brooklyn! You must live in AZ from the bright red rosy cheeks Trenton and Brooklynn have, must be hot!

I love how red their faces are! Remember playing outside and how beat red you'd get as a kid?
