In five short days Brooklyn and I will be arriving at Phoenix Children's Hospital 6am sharp. In hopes of ending a long furious battle of Vesicoureteral reflux {VUR}. She will be having surgery on her tiny little abdomen.
I have no experience whatsoever, never having surgery myself, and have relied on the experiences of others about what to expect.
We took a tour of the hospital a few days ago and according to Brooklyn's knowledge, it will be a 2-day party of playing and painting and one-on-one time with, yours truly. If we drive the Big black Train that morning, (aka the black suburban) We'll be sure NOT to park in the Gargage!. On our practice run we tested the garage out and sent the "clearance bar" swinging apparantly "the Big black Train" is taller than 6" 6'.

Hugs and kisses go out to Brooklyn, my tummy gets butterflies just thinking about what that little angel has gone through with VUR and now the road that she will be going down on the first. Our hearts and prayers are with you both!!! She is such a strong little one she will bounce back great, I hope that it goes perfectly and that it does end up being a two day party in the hospital celebrating the success of the surgery and a life free of VUR turmoil.
