Thanksgiving Extended 2010

Just a little set back on our way home.

Turns out the block was FROZEN!  Since when do you have to put ani-freeze in the coolant, this is AZ!! (hee, hee, it's funny now).

David is A-MAZING! He's good at a lot of stuff, like rotating tires, changing oil, he will even do spark plugs, but anything else he usually takes to the shop. But stuck up in a little FROZEN town... he dove right in.  He even took the whole dash apart. It looked pretty scary to me, I didn't think it'd ever be the same.

after replacing the water pump, the thermostat, the front heater core, the rear heater core, a freeze plug (thank-you freeze plugs, i didn't even know you existed) a few hoses, 3 days later we were on our way.  We were so LUCKY and lucky is actually spelled B-l-e-s-s-e-d, that the block did not crack.

I have to add that i was so impressed with David's patience, he was happy and joking and freezing the whole time.  He's a good man.

Hey we feel your pain, our truck has had many many problems since that freezing day Shane is still working on stuff. Everything is going great here, Shane left his job here and is back at his old job in Scottsdale which he loves, so for now he is commuting here on weekends. We will be in the valley for a week March 21-25 for spring break maybe we can get together again like we did a few years ago?
