I am a team MEMBER of the first annual Spina Bifida Walkathon, which
will be held on Saturday October 31st, HALLOWEEN MORNING! This is in support
of the Spina Bifida Association of Arizona (SBAAZ).
One of my friends has a nephew who was born with Spina Bifida, 4 years ago.She has told me a little about this birth defect. I was surprised to learn that Spina Bifida is the most common birth defect in this country and I
didn't even know what it was! And that 70 percent of birth defects can beprevented with a daily dose of folic acid prior to pregnancy.
The Spina Bifida Association of Arizona is hosting the first annualWalk/Roll Athon, and I am trying to raise funds for my team {Desert Rats}. My goal is to raise $200 to support this program. You can also join my team and walk with me, or you can just donate funds to help me reach my goal.
The Deseret Rats are walking for Gabe, my friend's nephew. Any donation
would be a great blessing to anyone affected with Spina Bifida as well as prevention of it to childbearing women.
Donations can be made with a check made out to the Spina Bifida Associationof Arizona and mailed to me or online at my personal Walk-N-Roll for SpinaBifida Web site. CLICK HERE
