In light of a very important Holiday, I wanted to replace my April fools joke with something way more uplifting. Easter has always been a fun holiday of BB Q's and egg hunts and of course talk of Christ's resurrection... but now that I have children and I'm taking the time to explain to them the real meaning of Easter... It has a whole new feeling.
The kids sadness over Christ's death, really surprised me. Trenton couldn't stop talking about the "bad guys" that killed Jesus and I was wondering if I should have even told a 2 yr old the horrific story. {Brooklyn did not respond this way, when she was 2}.
But it gave me the chance to bare to them a wonderful testimony that after 3 days, Jesus Christ did come back to life. And because He was Resurrected, we can come back to life after we die too.
I was even more amazed when they added it all together and Brooklyn said, "yeah and Grandma Cindy will come back to life too." just beautiful. I love kids.

That is so awesome. Once again by hearing about Trenton's reaction, it made me compare Arwen to him. She was the same way when I told her the story last year. She was just a little older than he is now, but she was so sad and worried about Jesus. That is so sweet. I cannot wait to see you guys in a couple days!!
Thx for sharing Lucia, you're a good mom.
I don't think you did the wrong thing by telling him. I am always amazed at how much children actually grasp, and begin to understand (even at a simple level). I think the sooner the can understand and even begin building a testimony of their own, the better. That is my two sense! Good work!
